Dr. William (Bill) Brendel is the founder of OpenSourceOD, a free platform offering assessments, tools, and simulations to democratize OD skills. He brings over 25 years of global consulting experience to his work in strategy, culture, and leadership transformation. Bill has worked across four continents, combining practical experience with research on presence and purpose in organizational life. His consulting and academic work led to the creation of Conscious OD, a framework that helps leaders suspend ego and expertise to foster inclusion, innovation, and adaptive change. His work has earned him the OD Network’s 2021 Lisa Kimball Award for Evolving the Field of OD and the 2024 Larry Porter Award for Communicating OD Knowledge.
A thought leader in the field, Bill created The MOST Assessment, the first validated OD competency tool, and co-authored widely used OD texts including History & Evolution of Organization Development. He also led award-winning research on presence and purpose at work, now used in the free Headspace Assessment. His latest innovations include the Use of Self AI Assistant and OD Immersives, immersive video simulations that help practitioners deepen their consulting intuition and impact. Bill received his doctorate from Columbia University, teaches at Penn State, consults on change efforts, and serves the field through roles with the OD Network and OD Education Association.

Garin is an award-winning Organisation Development and Design consultant with over 19 years’ experience. He has supported leading organisations in London, Asia Pacific, Middle East, India and Sydney in achieving their strategic objectives. Garin is Chair of the CIPD London Organisation Development, Design, Culture & Transformation Group, Chair of CIPD Culture and Transformation Senior Stakeholders Group and Co-Chair of CIPD Central London.
