On Day 07, Morning session : Prof. Gauri Mahulikar spoke on the topic Brahmasutra's Anandamayadhikaranam: a critical study. Prof. Gauri ji elaborated on the first adhyaya, sixth adhikarana of Brahma Sutra Bhashya by Adi shankara, sutras comprising 12-19. This Anandamayadhikarana serves two purposes, first, it shows how Brahman is considered as two folds - Sopadhika and Nirupadhika without the knowledge of which life is futile, and then, it establishes that the swaroopa of that Brahman is absolute bliss or Ananda.

Prof. Gauri Mahulikar is Dean of Faculty and Professor in the School of Vedic Knowledge Systems, Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth, (Deemed to be University), Ernakulam, Kerala. She holds a Doctorate in Sanskrit on ‘Vedic Elements in Puranic Mantras and Rituals’.
