Day 7 | DIY Felt Christmas Trees

Описание к видео Day 7 | DIY Felt Christmas Trees

Hi, thanks for watching.

Supplies:
Felt (White, Olive Green, & Antique White)
Cardstock
Graph Paper
Pencil
Scissors
Glue Gun
Dowels (0.1875” x 12")
Wood Glue
Air-Dry Clay
Paint
Paintbrush
Ruler

Make a tree template. I cut graph paper (16 x 20 squares) & folded it in half. I marked every 4 rows. (Starting from the top, for row 1: skip 1 square & mark 1/2 square, row 2: skip 2 squares & mark 1 square, row 3: skip 3 squares & mark 1 1/2 squares, row 4: skip 4 squares & mark 2 squares, & for row 5: skip 5 squares, mark 2 1/2 squares.) Then, make a second set of marks connecting the left end of the first mark to the right end of the next row.
Cut out your template. I traced & cut it out of cardstock to make it sturdy.
Cut 8 felt trees.
Fold a tree in half & glue the fold to the dowel. (The dowel should be a little below the peak of the tree.)
Do this 8 times.
Glue the tree peaks together.
Cut the dowels at different lengths.
For the base, I formed a ball out of clay. Then, flattened the bottom (creating a dome).
I pressed an extra piece of dowel in the center of each base (about 3/4 of the way down).
Wait for the clay to dry, then paint them white. (I waited 2 days for them to dry completely.)
Glue each tree to its base & your felt Christmas trees are done.
