President Biden Halts Train Traffic During Memorial Day Weekend on the CSX River Line!

Was out railfanning this past Memorial Day Weekend with the CSX River Line legend ‪@trainsandmore612‬ The day starts off a bit slow as President Biden was visiting New York State to attend the annual West Point Academy Graduation Ceremony in West Point, NY. Due to trains carrying hazardous and explosive materials that pass through under the West Point tunnel, train traffic on the River Line was ordered to stop and hold until the president left the ceremony. When I arrived here, a parked I159-22 was sitting fouling both the mainline and crossing. Luckily there was a way to get around the train and also managed to get some pictures of the EOT. Around 1pm when the president left West Point, I159 was finally given the all clear to proceed North after sitting for over 3 hours. Due to the 3+ hour delay, several trains were backed up and began moving, two of which to note were L040 with SD40-2 8400 running long hood forward towing a few covered hoppers for Kingston and a very late I010 with 008’s train and a Geometry Car on the headend!
