BSNL has introduced a new PV/FRC priced at Rs 399. The plan brings with it a validity of 80 days, 1GB daily data limit and a FUP of 250 outgoing minutes. If you cross the 1GB data limit, the speed of the network drops to 80kbps. BSNL has “discontinued a STV that was priced at Rs.399 and a STV priced at Rs.1699. One could interpret this as BSNL replacing the benefits of the Rs 399 plan and discontinuing the Rs 1699 plan.
The information about the BSNL Rs 399 plan comes from BSNL Chennai. Called the PV/FRC-399 the plan is priced at Rs 399. As mentioned above, the plan comes with 1GB daily data limit after which the speed will drop to 80kbps. The plan also gives users unlimited free voice calls in home and national roaming including MTNL network, roaming area of Delhi and Mumbai. However, it must be noted that the FUP limit for calling is set to 250 minutes outgoing minutes (Local + STD + outgoing roaming) per day. So you get a little more than 4 hours of calling per day on this plan. The plan also brings with it a limit of 100 SMSes per day.
