Before I was a clueless RIO nugget in VF-211, I was an even more clueless RAG student in VF-101 (the RAG is the training squadron for budding F-14 crew).

One right of passage is to be spun in a giant centrifuge in order to learn how to tolerate G forces. The real goal is to not be put to sleep by the Gs as all your buddies watch you on closed circuit tv.

I didn’t go to sleep, but I did drool on myself a bit more than normal.
