Escape to paradise with our family as we celebrated Easter on the stunning island of Gilli Air in Indonesia. Join us on our incredible adventure as we left our home in Bali and embarked on a journey to explore this tropical gem.

Our trip to Gilli Air was filled with unforgettable moments and experiences. As a vegan family, we were thrilled to discover the wide array of delicious vegan food options available on the island. The island's beaches truly stole our hearts. We were greeted by breathtaking stretches of pristine sand and turquoise waters that beckoned us to dive in. Our kids were in their element, spending endless hours frolicking in the water, building sandcastles, and exploring the vibrant marine life while snorkeling. It was a joy to witness their pure excitement and joy.

Throughout our Easter adventure, we also encountered some tragic downsides that we feel compelled to share. Gilli Air, like many other beautiful destinations, struggles with plastic waste. Witnessing the litter scattered along the beaches and in the water was disheartening, serving as a reminder of the urgent need for sustainable practices to protect our environment.

Additionally, we discovered some challenges in terms of infrastructure. While the island exudes a laid-back and tranquil atmosphere, it was evident that certain services, such as healthcare facilities, are limited. We believe it is essential to be aware of these aspects to ensure a safe and well-prepared visit to Gilli Air.

Join us as we embark on this incredible Easter adventure and navigate through the ups and downs of exploring Gilli Air. Together, let's determine if this tropical island truly deserves the title of being the best in Indonesia. Follow us as we reveal the stunning landscapes, share mouthwatering vegan food recommendations, and shed light on the island's challenges.

Our aim is not only to showcase the beauty of Gilli Air but also to inspire responsible travel practices. By shedding light on the downsides we encountered, we hope to raise awareness and encourage visitors to play an active role in preserving the island's natural beauty.

So, come along and immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery, join us in savoring delicious vegan cuisine, and witness the highs and lows of our Easter adventure. Let's explore together and decide if Gilli Air truly deserves its reputation as the best tropical island in Indonesia.
