WhatsApp message receiving/loading only after opening the app - WhatsApp notification not showing

But if you can’t see the notification icon and when you open the application if you can see a new message then let us see how to fix the issue.

1. For this one we will go to “Settings” icon.
2. Scroll down and go to “Apps”.
3. Select “All” so that you can see all the apps that are installed in your device.
4. Scroll down and select “WhatsApp”.
5. Now if you are using mobile data then select “Mobile data”.
6. Make sure to enable “All background data usage” so that you will receive a notification even if the app is closed.
7. Let’s go back.
8. Select “Notifications”.
9. Make sure Show notifications is enabled
10. Also “App icon badges”, it is enabled.
11. Enable “Group notifications” so that you will hear notification about the message sent in a group.
12. Also enable “message notifications” so that you will hear notification sound when you receive a message.
13. Also you can do some additional troubleshooting things.
14. Let’s open the “Settings” app again.
15. Scroll down and select “Apps”.
16. Tap on the three dotted icons.
17. Select “Reset app preferences”.
18. This will remove all the restrictions that you have applied for the apps.
19. Select “Reset”.
20. Again let’s go to “Settings” app.
21. Select “Connections”.
22. Select “WiFi”.
23. Select three dotted icons.
24. Select “Advanced”.
25. Disable “WiFi power saving mode”.
26. Now this should fix the issue.
