Sircel is an Australian owned and operated green technology company solving the e-waste crisis.
Our unique process is ethical, sustainable and better for business, the community and the planet. We have six operational sites and nearly 100 staff across Australia. We work with corporates, councils and waste partners to divert their e-waste from landfill. We have facilities and machinery to process larger volumes than all known Australian recyclers, helping big companies solve their e-waste challenges.
Every day, we tackle the rapidly escalating global e-waste crisis.
In 2022 alone, the world produced a record 62 million tonnes of e-waste.
But e-waste isn’t just trash. Locked inside are valuable materials that we can reuse. For example, the $80bn worth of copper that was buried in e-waste in 2023 alone.
We custom-design the best onsite e-waste collection methods for clients and transport it securely the nearest Sircel processing facility.
We receive materials five days a week and triage to remove materials like batteries and large plastics. E-waste that is not end-of-life is separated and managed by our IT Asset Disposition team, for secure data erasure and repurposing.
What can’t be reused, we recycle in-house.
Whole devices are sent directly to the opener and our large-scale equipment breaks down all materials via several stages of size reduction and separation to remove individual commodities.
We have invested in world-leading dust extraction and collection equipment to ensure our operations are safe and environmentally-friendly, while enabling maximum resource recovery.
After the dust is recovered via air filtration the air is purified to remove any volatile organic compounds.
We work with accredited industry partners who re-use relevant commodities. For instance, steel is recovered at three different stages and sent directly for reuse in manufacturing.
