This is one of a 10 different ways you can do this. I just used what I had. 40 mm wood boring bit, some cheap roap light, few finishing nails, and some 1/4 poly glass. Pretty simple way to light it up. The poly glass simply acts as backing so the ball doesn’t rise out of its cradle while bagging, it’s not completely necessary . You can use resin glue to fill the void as well. I like the poly glass because it allows me to still have a glowing effect even if I use a metal swivel. Pretty sweet. Using the glass allows me to change the rope light if I ever need to.
