Perfect World Syndicate : Phoenix [●Archer 1v1]

"The phoenix must burn to emerge." - Janet Fitch

The annals of history record many tales: APS, DPH; Calamity, Regenesis, BootyCamp; International, Vendetta, Syndicate; Marriages, friendships and joy; Break-ups, betrayals, and despair. Yet amongst these tales are myths and legends, but also history that has been forgotten. My archer is not merely an alt that I've picked up along the way. Rather, it is what started everything.

There was a time when Archers were the overpowered class in PvP. I strove to master this class, and for many months that was my goal. I've let my name be known to the greatest factions, I was TehZsw. But then things changed... the Forbidden Sea in the south opened, and a new race emerged. Amongst them was the most fearsome warriors Perfect World has ever seen - The Tideborn Assassins.

They were unhittable, untankable, unseen, and unbeaten. A mere +5 Assassin would bring me as much trouble as a +10 of any other race. Not only that, but they were blood thirsty. Many hunted me down. For many more months I've studied them and fought to conqueror them. But it was not enough. So I've retired my bows and arrows, picked up a pair of daggers and joined the Tideborn Assassins. My archer days were over, incinerated in the fires of that which was born from ocean.

That happened almost 3 years ago, and even today I still hold these daggers. But I've grown more wise since then. I've come to know things that other people don't, and done things that other people won't. Perhaps it is time that I picked up my bow and arrows once more - not to replace my daggers, but to use them alongside it. Just like the great Phoneix - I burned to truly emerge.

So today I bring you my first legitimate Archer PvP video on this fine Christmas day! Merry Christmas! (I have also seem to gained the ability to use custom thumbnails, yay!)

I have moved on from my old style of Demon Auto Attack Archer to my Sage Skill Spam Archer. I am still inexperienced with this playstyle and from time to time make mistakes in my usage of skills. Disregarding that however, I have found that the Sage Archer playstyle is far more reliable than the demon playstyle. The rank 9 crossbow provided by this server is also a huge help as it allows Sage archer to reach a higher potential compared to using the standard rank 9 bow.

Archers however, are still very luck dependent. While I've become quite experienced against Assassins, a slight difference in luck can still either seal my victory or my doom. Sins have built in methods to counter bad luck with skills such as Deaden Nerves. Archers do not have these mechanism, which can easily result me dying to a charm bypass without any sort of setups at all. It is currently my goal to look into ways to minimize the adverse effects of bad luck as much as possible. I am the worst against other Archers for the reason mentioned above - Archer vs Archer is where I have the highest chance of being screwed over by misses.

This video consists mostly of 1 v 1. No buff advantages, no gear advantages, no stealth. Sadly, I did not have too many mass pk footages this time. Part of the reason is that the server is still growing and we're looking for more people to join for intense mass pk (Please join us! http://www.pwsyndicate.com The server recently upgraded to Dawn of Spring with NW Gears). People come and people leave, but we need people to stay! Another reason is that I find standard mass pvp on a ranged class where you never get hit can be quite boring. I will aim to include more intense mass pvp footages next time!

I hope that you enjoy this video!
