With a growing need for valuations of closely-held corporations, it’s important to understand the requirements and qualifications of the appraiser as it is crucial that a substantiated credible value is set forth. To establish credible value of a closely-held corporation, the appraiser must understand the different factors affecting value while maintaining up-to-date knowledge on the IRS Code Sections and Revenue Rulings that govern aspects within the valuation. Moreover, it’s important to understand the discounts and premiums computed into the valuation calculation. In essence, this course will provide a deep dive into all aspects relevant to obtaining the true value of a closely-held corporation. The lecture will be presented by Roman A.
