A took a Sunday ride around what are usually extremely busy streets of Sathorn. Sunday is usually the best day for riding a bike in Bangkok as the streets tend to be much quieter and less congested.

I started off the ride where Rama IV Road meets Sathorn Road - under the Thai-Belgian flyover at Witthayu Intersection. We head 1.5km along the straight Sathorn Road to one of Bangkok's more famous junctions - the Sathon-Naradhiwas Intersection. The skywalk construction here is often featured in many TV programmes, movies and also in plenty of selfies.

We head south from here down Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Road for 200 metres before turning left to head east to the neighbourhood of Suan Phlu. This area of Sathorn is a friendly mix of condominiums and apartments, bars, restaurants and local businesses.

Heading 1.5km south we take another left turn onto Yen Akat Road. There are some great restaurants along here including the well-known Mama Dolores.

Next we turn onto Soi Si Bamphen and then onto Sathorn 1 Alley which takes us back onto Sathorn Road and just a few metres away from where we began the ride.

Total distance travelled - 6.88 km (4.27 mi)
