Behind the Drop is a personal reflection on the decade-long journey behind my documentary, Waiting For The Drop: Rise of the Superstar DJs.

After leaving a staff job at The New York Times, I spent more than 10 years following the rise of global dance music — from Ibiza and Amsterdam to Miami, New York, Las Vegas and beyond. Along the way, I found a community, made plenty of mistakes and learned what it really takes to see a creative project through.

This short film is about that journey — the people, the places and the moments behind the music.
