As India’s cities grow, their mountains of garbage grow too. In Chandigarh, household waste segregation has been mandatory for several years. Now the city has gone a step further. It’s started the door-to-door collection of sanitary waste, a measure that targets plastic pollution – as well as the taboos associated with menstruation.
