Whether you enjoy running, hiking, walking, boating, or more, Apex has got you covered. The American Tobacco Trail is perfect for walking, biking, or running. It is a flat and long terrain, so it is perfect to take kids and beginners. Another option is Apex Nature Park, which is recommended if you love tennis, basketball, pickleball, etc. They have a lit course, making it ideal to enjoy these activities after work or school. One of the newest attractions for outdoor activities is Pleasant Park, which opened in 2023.

With real estate, location is king!

Traffic is a minor issue because it is manageable and nothing compared to other major metropolitan cities. Apex is conveniently located near downtown Raleigh, the airport, downtown Durham and other major universities. It is close to outdoor spaces if you want to enjoy various outdoor activities.

5. Schools

The school systems in Apex and Wake County can be confusing, but the school choices are excellent. If you live in Apex, you will likely find a great school.
