Welcome to the first video of "Chilling Out with Wood" where we take a relaxed approach to woodworking and explore the beauty of different materials. In this 2-minute video, we're making two beautiful bookmarks out of olive wood. But what's really unique about these bookmarks is the way we've used different types of cuts to achieve two completely different styles from the same piece of wood. By cutting one bookmark along the grain and the other across the grain, we've created two distinct patterns that showcase the natural beauty of the olive wood in different ways!

Let's explore a little more about the olive wood and its rich history. Olive wood has been used by humans for thousands of years, with evidence of its use dating back to ancient Greece.
