On this International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we’re proud to highlight the importance of inclusive spaces and the impact they have on individuals, families, and communities.

In our latest episode of Belmar Bytes, Katherine Such, MBA, CEO of Easter Seals Alberta, joined by our CEO, Scott Billows, shared powerful reflections on the joy, belonging, and lifelong connections created at Easter Seals camps.

Katherine spoke about the energy and excitement of camp—the laughter, the mayhem, the unforgettable moments and the deeper purpose behind it all:
“I just love seeing the joy on our campers’ faces when they come to camp. It’s such a unique experience.”

For many youth with visible and invisible disabilities, camp is the first place they meet peers who truly understand their experiences. It’s where confidence grows, friendships form, and they see what life can look like at different ages and stages.

This message resonates deeply with us at Belmar, as we continue to uplift voices, share stories that matter, and advocate for inclusive environments everywhere.
