As the clone Wars raged on and many of the Republic’s Clone Trooper divisions became occupied with battles across the galaxy, some Jedi generals and their men were assigned to handle the most dangerous and risky prisoner transfers, with high ranking criminal figures. Because of this, Obi-Wan Kenobi and the 212th were placed in charge of a prison transfer, involving two of the deadliest bounty hunters in the galaxy. Unfortunately for Kenobi, these bounty hunters were renowned for a reason. During their capture, the Bounty hunters snuck into the ranks of the 212th and used Clone Trooper armor as a disguise to attempt to escape. So, lets find out how these crazy criminals pulled this and fooled Commander cody.
So The story begins aboard the Venator Class Star Destroyer Tempestuous where Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu were able to capture two of the Galaxy’s most deadly bounty hunters.
After pulling off the successful operation, Windu and Kenobi begin a hologram briefing with the Jedi council, where Obi-Wan tells them that his task force was able to stop an attack on a hypermatter facility and capture the bounty hunter known as Volan Das. If you want to see exactly how Obi-Wan, Mace Windu and Cody captured this bounty hunter just let me know down below and I’ll cover the prequel story to this one.
Following this, Mace Windu tells the Jedi council that the separatists have stepped up their attacks five-fold in this region, and Obi-Wan very quickly adds that they were abele to get the hypermatter systems operational again, so that the Republic will have access to the very crucial resource for their starfleet.
Master Yoda however is very cautious about this, believing that this victory is only temporary, before order Master Windu to interrogate the bounty hunter to if he was planning to attack any more republic hyper matter facilities. Mace then tells Master Yoda that he trusts Commander Cody for such an important Job, before directing him to a holding cell on level 67 of the brig.
Some time after this, Commander Cody and two of his brothers enter the bounty hunter’s cell and begin asking him very tough questions. The bounty hunter however puts up an incredible resistance, refusing any of Cody’s negotiation tactics, infuriating the Commander.
Finally, cody goes off the prisoner and says “i’m going to ask you one more time Das-- where were you planning your next strike?”. Das however holds firm and reponds to Cody by saying “and I’ve told you til im red in the face that you’ll never find that out, clone.”
After hearing this, Cody finally cracks and orders his Trooper Cale to take Das back to his main cell, frustrated that he couldn’t extract the information out of him.
As Cale is escorting the bounty hunter back to the cells, Das begins mouthing off at the troopers, telling that that this little prison will have no chance of holding a top bounty hunter like him, but the Troopers are unphased, telling him to keep his mouth shut.
The two clones then try to shove the prisoner right back into his cell, but before he gets in, he has a few more words for the troopers. He tells them that they are such gracious hosts, while suspicious adding that he’s sure they will be meeting again very soon. The Clone trooper responds to the bounty by saying “and you’re crazier than I thought if you think that’s ever going to happen”... but maybe he should be so confident.
After he is placed into his cell, Das recognizes one of the prisoners across from him, and the other prisoners quickly says “you should. I’m arlain zee”. The two then exchange some banter about their previous jobs and Das quickly realizes that Arlian Zee is the bounty hunter who swindled the infamous Sli Genchu out of the lodan job.
As the two continue their banter, Arlain Zee tells Dad that he’s really enjoying the REpublic’s hospitality, and tells him that their R5 units serve the most delighted nerf stew, before eventually offering a partnership to team up and escape this ship. The R-5 unit he’s talking about however isn’t actually a republic serving droid, but instead one owned by Arlain Zee himself.
