I don't use the quick shifter all that often on this bike. People often comment about it. This morning I went for a ride and tried using it pretty much exclusively. Blipping the throttle is a difficult habit to break but I eventually managed. It performed a lot better than I usually give it credit for, especially above 2nd and the downshifts are very smooth. I will still manually shift the bulk of the time but it's great for spirited riding.
