Laura Kröger – Lead producer and Narrative designer of Odysseus 2024, Illusia Ry

In summer 2024, the team of over 200 volunteers created an interactive spaceship into an elementary school in Helsinki and took 300 players from around the world on a journey through the stars. Odysseus was a live action roleplaying game, or larp, where players stepped into the shoes of officers, politicians, pilots, medics, scientists and more onboard spaceship ESS Odysseus for an 50-hour-long game experience about survival against an overwhelming enemy and internal conflicts. Laura will talk about the design and creation of this massive project. How they built a community of professionals to create this fully immersive experience. 2024.

Laura Kröger is a Finnish larp designer and producer. She has worked with larps for over 20 years, and has lectured in multiple events about larp production and design. Most notably, Kröger was the lead producer and narrative designer of Odysseus, international blockbuster larp originally played in Helsinki 2019 and again as remastered version in 2024.
