The Styled Challenge - Napa Valley, California

Napa Valley, California, is a truly enchanting destination, celebrated for its world-renowned wineries and breathtaking wedding venues surrounded by stunning scenery. Recently, we organized an exhilarating competition featuring four talented design teams vying for the title of Best Wedding Design, each collaborating with one of the region's most coveted venues. And let's not forget the delightful wine-pairing experiences that added an extra touch of magic to each event in beautiful Napa Valley!

Venue #1 Bardessono Hotel
The picturesque Bardessono Hotel in Yountville served as the stunning backdrop for the creative work of the West Event Co. design team, led by Gianna Jackson. Their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the event, from the innovative ice cream sundae wedding cake alternative at the reception to the unconventional circular dining setup and the clever use of a classic film screen as a seating chart. This exceptional design earned the team the prestigious Trendsetter Award. The Best Photography Award was given to Michelle Kennaugh with Michelle Kennaugh Photography.

Venue #2 V. Sattui Winery
Nestled in the picturesque vineyards of St. Helena, V. Sattui Winery exudes the charm of Tuscany, creating a dreamy backdrop for the creative collaboration between designer Lisa McAdams of McAdams Events and florist Cecelia Carsillo of Blümhaus Floral Co. Inspired by Taylor Swift's 'Lover Era', the duo infused the venue with a delightful array of pastel colors, whimsical elements, and playful touches like disco balls and sparkles. Their vision stole the hearts of our online community, earning them the prestigious Socialite Award for the most beloved design on our Facebook and Instagram platforms. Additionally, the talents of Ora Beth Mika from Flour & Bloom Cakes were recognized with the Best Wedding Cake Design award, while Sheryl Chan of Blushtype & Co. clinched the Best Flat Lay Award. The extraordinary work of Katie Kelly from Happy Out Photography was honored with the Best Photography Award.

Venue #3 Beringer Vineyards
Nestled within the majestic redwood trees, Beringer Vineyards offers enchanting wine caves that can be used as event space or for capturing stunning photographs. Kendall Erlenbusch, the creative mind behind Kendall Melissa Events, embraced the opportunity to craft a design within this serene yet awe-inspiring setting. She was thrilled to present her contemporary designs amidst the towering redwoods and the charming 1800s Victorian Hudson House as a picturesque backdrop. Kendall and her dedicated team were honored to receive the prestigious Best Design Award, along with several individual accolades. Hylary Locsin and Jacquie Loakes from H & J Flowers were recognized with the Best Floral Design award, while Munni Tran from Hyegraph Invitations & Calligraphy secured the Best Stationery Design award. Additionally, Ashley Piper from Southern & Grace Photography was celebrated for clinching the Best Photography award, capturing the magic of it all.

Venue #4 The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone
The Culinary Institute of America is situated in the iconic Greystone building, boasting a rich history of over 150 years. Brittany Anderson, from L'Avventura Events, was thrilled to collaborate in this storied setting. She wholeheartedly embraced the dark, moody ambiance of the interior space and infused the outdoor space with lively elements, including a vibrant orange 1970 Volkswagen Bus named Topanga, paired with relaxed seating representing a fun wine tasting before the reception.
Her innovative designs rightfully earned her team the prestigious Lasting Impression Award. Additionally, Kayla Milroy, from Kayla Bri Photography, was honored with the well-deserved Best Photography award.
