How to fix a horse going "behind the bit" and becoming heavy. When a horse's head drops behind the vertical, it is called behind the bit. The horse should have a straight line from the poll to his nose to be considered correct in Dressage. If he is behind the vertical he isn't taking the correct forward correctly and will often get either too light or too heavy. In this video I will discuss the horse that gets heavy and what the rider can do to correct it.
