Dao Yi （literally ’Beat Clothes）：
A qin composition, attributed to Pan Tingjian during the Tang Dynasty (618 ~ 907 ).
In autumn, when the weather becomes cool, women beginning to prepare winter clothes beat the clothes with a stick when washing them, hence the other names Qiu Chu Nong （Stick in the Autumn）and Qiu Yuan Dao Yi （Beating Clothes in the Autumn Yard）.
The music expresses the mood of women
thinking of their loved ones far away.
