It's that time of the week! #FenderFriday is upon us, and so for this week's Focus On Sound video, Jack takes us through one of the top American-made instruments currently offered by Fender: the American Professional Series Telecaster.

The review sample is a beautiful ash-body instrument, with a maple neck and fingerboard, carved to a wholesome modern Deep C profile, with a 9.5" fingerboard radius, and 22, precise Narrow Tall frets. Tim Shaw - Fender's resident pickup guru of Shawbucker fame - designed both single-coil V-Mod pickups in this guitar, with compliments of mixed alnico magnet pairs to give a balanced, full, articulate and highly polished guitar tone.

This instrument is everything that you'd expect a working, professional musician to require - and it is designed to satisfy this exact market. Offering the utmost in build precision, comfort, tone and - perhaps most importantly - consistency and reliability, the American Professional Series remains one of the slickest evolutions of the former American Standard that Fender has released, so far.
