Varanasi Ring Road Phase-2 Package-2: Connecting Sandaha & Chandauli

The Varanasi Ring Road Phase-2 Package-2 is a significant infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity & reducing traffic congestion in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. This 27.27 km stretch of road connects Sandaha & Chandauli district, playing a vital role in easing traffic flow within the city & surrounding areas.

A key highlight of this package is the construction of a six-lane bridge over the Ganga River. This 1762-meter-long bridge is a major engineering feat & will significantly reduce travel time between the two banks of the river.

The project faced some delays due to various factors, including the COVID-19 pandemic & an increase in the bridge's length. However, significant progress has been made, & a large portion of the road is nearing completion. The remaining work primarily focuses on the Ganga bridge, with one lane expected to be operational soon.

Once completed, the Varanasi Ring Road Phase-2 Package-2 will not only ease traffic congestion but also boost economic development in the region by facilitating smoother transportation of goods & people. It is a testament to the government's commitment to improving infrastructure & connectivity across the country.
