Bloemfontein Campus first-years' welcoming ceremony

First-years were treated to a great Kovsies welcoming at the Bloemfontein Campus First-Years' Welcoming ceremony on Saturday 3 February 2018.
Students and parents were addressed by SRC President, Asive Dlanjwa, Dean of Student Affairs, Pura Mgolombane, as well as the Rector and Vice-Chancellor of UFS, Prof Francis Petersen.
Prof Petersen told the students that while they have the freedom to decide who they want to be, they should not lose themselves throughout the years they’ll be spending at the university.
Dlanjwa urged students to get involved as much as possible and told them not to make the mistake of leaving with just a degree on campus, but with plenty of other experiences as well.
