This audio clip helps demonstrate how Dearborn County Prosecutor F. Aaron Negangard and Dearborn Superior Court II Judge Sally McLaughlin alter grand jury records. For the purposes of this example, the grand jury was altered so it would actually match the transcripts prepared and certified as complete by Judge McLaughlin's Court.The clip consists of two separate audio files that are spliced together. After the Court deleted portions of the official record from the transcripts, Negangard provided the transcripts to the defendant as the only means to determine what actions over the course of 3.5 years rose to the level of criminal defamation against another Dearborn County Judge, James D. Humphrey. The transcripts of the grand jury portray Negangard's two statements occurring at the same time when in actuality, the statements were made several minutes apart. Judge McLaughlin's Court deleted the audio file(s) in between and spliced the record in the transcripts, depriving the defendant of a fair trial.
