Easy Chai Latte

Today I'm sharing a simple technique for creating a delicious iced or hot chai latte at home! The "chai concentrate" (inspired by @healthyhappyhome on Instagram) will last you for several drinks--just keep it covered and stored in the fridge.

Easy Chai Latte
2 c. water
8 chai teabags
sweetener of choice (brown sugar, agave, honey, maple syrup, etc.)
milk of choice
ice (for iced chai latte)
optional: pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, flavored creamer

Bring water to a boil. Steep the teabags for 5 minutes. Remove the teabags. Add 1-3 Tbsp. sweetener of choice (if desired) and stir to dissolve. Allow "chai concentrate" to cool before covering and storing in the fridge.
Iced Chai Latte: Fill tall glass halfway with ice. Pour in 2-3 Tbsp. chai concentrate. Top with milk of choice (I enjoy the creaminess of oat milk). Stir to combine. ENJOY!
Hot Chai Latte: Fill mug 2/3 of the way with milk of choice. Heat in microwave until hot. Pour in 2-3 Tbsp. chai concentrate. Stir to combine. ENJOY!
Variations:
-add 2 drops of vanilla extract and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice. Stir to combine.
-add a splash of flavored coffee creamer (I really enjoyed this with coconut creamer) and stir to combine.

Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice
3 Tbsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. ground ginger
2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1 1/2 tsp. ground cloves

Whisk together in a bowl until thoroughly combined. Store in an air tight container.
