Having a tidy and organized home that I love.

For as long as I can remember, I lived with clutter.

Constant piles of clothes stacked on the chair in my room and left in laundry baskets, messy dressers, piles of papers on the table…

Until I radically made changes to my home, I had no idea how negatively it was affecting me.

One day, I was at the bookstore, heading toward the cookbooks, which I love to read like novels.

All of the sudden, something grabbed my attention and made me turn. Right in front of me was a little book titled, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, by Marie Kondo.

I walked over to my husband and said, “I felt like this book called out to me. I have to buy it.”

The book changed my life.

After reading it, I let go of two-thirds of what I owned and finally experienced the joy and ease that comes from having a tidy home.

Even though it’s an on-going process, especially with three children, I continue to feel freedom from clutter and maintain a tidy home using a simple, yet powerful strategy.
