Before we go to the Himalayan 450 disc pads you must know there are mainly two types of disc pads are available in the market.
1. Ceramic brake pads
2. Sintered brake pads
Combination of these two also available in the market.
Ceramic brake pads are made from material very similar to the type of ceramic used to make pottery and plates
Sintered brake pads are made from metal particles fused together under high heat and pressure called sintering process.

Noise Level: Less in Ceramic. Slightly Higher in Sintered

How to Choose
If exceptional stopping power is your main aim go for Sintered Pads otherwise go to Ceramic.
The new pads will be effective after a few kilometers. Please verify the brakes after 50 Kms if you moved sintered to Ceramic for your own satisfaction and conclude. You may feel the brakes are bit spongy.
Himalayan 450 comes with sintered disc pads. The front disc pad will cost around 2140 Rupees and Back side will cost around 2500 rupees.
If you are thinking about an Cheaper and alternative solution you can go with Pulsar 220 Ceramic Brake Pads which will cost 300 rupees each.
