This was a detailed tour of the Orchard, Hamad's indoor garden. The walk-through started at the famous, large teddy bear art piece. Making my way towards the C gate passenger train/shuttle station, I boarded a train for the short ride that went along all the C gates, ending at the start of the D and E gates and the beautiful Orchard.
I then took the escalators to the ground floor and onto the footpath that takes you along the forest garden. In between were miniature parks with benches and tents. I found people relaxing and sleeping on the artificial grass floor, which I thought was a fantastic idea, especially for those with long overnight layovers at Hamad Airport.
After the long walk-through of the Orchard, I then made my way back to one of the quiet rooms in the A gates to catch a couple of hours of sleep before returning to film the Orchard during the daytime. And yes, it's just as beautiful as it is at night.
After the daytime walk of the Orchard, I looked at some art pieces and boarded the train back once more to my departure gate, B3 for my flight back to Manchester on Qatar Airways QR 27 aboard the beautiful Boeing 777-300ER (Trip Report available to view on this channel).
This was an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend that you check out the Orchard if you have a two-hour or more layover at Hamad International Airport.
