Let's talk about Drop Zone.

In the Australian summer of '94, I rolled into a theater thinking "Ok... Wesley Snipes, a sky-diving movie... No frickin' idea what I'm in for here."

Not only did I come out of the theater having had a bonkers good time, but the wild, guitar-riddled, bombastic score just floored me, right from its opening riff over the Paramount logo.

30 years later, and as an obvious fan of the work of the midi maestro, ‪@HansZimmer‬, I finally felt "accomplished" enough to attempt to take on recreating one of my favorite pieces of music from the all-too-brief soundtrack to the film: "Too Many Notes... Not Enough Rests".

Ten and a half minutes of programming lunacy, I consider this track a masterclass in what is possible with -- in his own words -- sh!tty samples.

Here is my half-assed and 7-month-long attempt at coming close to greatness.

Please be gentle with your feedback. This one was really freakin' hard :-)
