Older Brother knitting machines came with cast-on combs that clipped to the bed to allow you to cast on directly to the comb. Later model machines came with cast on combs that did not clip to the bed and a new method of casting on was described in the manuals.


Some knitters, myself included, find the old method easier than the newer method but don't have the old style combs with the clips on the sides. It is almost as easy, however, to cast on directly to a new style comb and in this video I show you how.
