Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on a historic two-day visit to Kuwait, met Indian workers at the Gulf Spic Workers' Camp. This marked the first visit by an Indian PM to Kuwait in 43 years, with the last being Indira Gandhi in 1981. Modi engaged in candid conversations with workers, lauding their contribution to India’s development.

During the visit, PM Modi also met with the Emir of Kuwait and Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah, focusing on strengthening ties in trade, defence, and key sectors. Bilateral trade between India and Kuwait was valued at $10.47 billion in 2023-24.
