Shipment Of Shepherd | Cultural Shift Of The Gaddi Tribe | Himachal Pradesh

This documentary is about the cultural and linguistic shift that Gaddi tribe experience, while going through their ordinary life. This tribe is mainly based out of Chamba, Bharmour, and nearby mountainous areas. Hereafter, they have to go through multiple varied stages for the purpose of better education and sustainable livelihood.

Dr. Kehar singh is currently working as a senior agricultural scientist at KVK Chamba.
He is also a social activist in the region and works to promote the gaddi culture.

Smt. Sandhya Devi is homemaker and has been working for last 40 years to train the local women in making woolen based traditional blankets, mufflers, shawls, gaddi topi and etc.

Shri Raju Gaddi is a shepherd who take cares of over 200 sheeps and goats(cattles).
He spends 6 month on the upper hills and 6 months in the downhills and plains.
