This is the last mile or so of the abandoned and soon to be defunct Austin’s Bergstrom spur. It had over time rail connection to about 40 or so industries over the years and was built to reach the bergstrom Air Force bace that’s now the international airport. This section is the track following the Todd lane crossing which was removed around 2016-2017, we also see track that went off into a large lumber industry which must have not been given much notice that the line was being abandoned because apparently they lengthened the tracks they had on there property and added an additional turnout within the facility to take in more cars and I believe this was in 2008, and from what’s known is the line has been considered abandoned although in 2007-2008 I remember one night first time being in Austin Texas I was stopped at the crossing under I35 and it was the bergstrom spur.
