We are thrilled to shine the spotlight on two remarkable individuals who have left an indelible mark on the world of wine each contributing to the legacy of Napa Valley in their unique and profound ways.

Our first distinguished guest is none other than Angelina Mondavi, a trailblazer in the winemaking realm. Hailing from a family with a rich and legendary history , Angelina's journey began at the tender age of 10, assisting the lab manager at Charles Krug, her family's esteemed winery. Her academic pursuits at Villanova University, majoring in chemistry and minoring in business, laid the foundation for a career that would see her traverse the globe, gaining expertise and accolades.

With a Master's Degree in Oenology from the University of Adelaide's Waite Campus, Angelina's extensive career includes roles at Hess Collection, Yalumba Wine Company in Barossa Valley, and Pine Ridge Vineyards. Notably, she co-founded Dark Matter and Aloft wines, both highly sought-after Howell Mountain labels. At the helm of her own consulting company, A. Mondavi Consulting, Angelina manages an impressive portfolio that includes Brasswood Cellars, Dark Matter Wines, Aloft, Juslyn Vineyards, and Castlevale.

Marcus Marquez, a charismatic figure whose passion for Napa Valley's food and wine scene has significantly shaped the region. From managing and curating award-winning wine lists to opening L Wine Lounge and Urban Kitchen, as well as heading up and helping to open one of St Helena’s best restaurant and bars, Goose & Gander, Marcus has been instrumental in transforming St. Helena's culinary landscape. As the driving force behind Brasswood Estate, he has turned it into a lifestyle destination boasting a world-class restaurant, winemaking facility, tasting rooms, bakery, boutique shop, art gallery as well as one of the premier venues to host weddings and private events. Marcus is also an author of a must have book, 100 things to do in Napa before you die.

It was an honor to be able to sit down with Angelina and Marcus and hear how their legacies came to be and how they aim to continue to expand it.
