Its back to the drawing board for South African Airways (SAA).
Public Enterprises Minister, Pravin Gordhan, has announced that the national carrier's deal with the Takatso consortium, is off the table.
The deal to sell 51 percent of the South African Airways (SAA) shares to the Takatso Consortium has been terminated and the airline will go back to being 100 percent State owned. This was announced by the Minister of Public Enterprises, Pravin Gordhan yesterday during a media briefing. Gordhan stated that the revised transaction structure had to take into account the Public interest and a fair market price, which they could not agree on. To talk more on this, we are joined virtually by Advocate Christopher Shabangu, President of the SA Cabin Crew & Alliances Union. Good morning.
