ECA Financing and Private Sector Risk Mitigators

The panel will discuss various aspects of export credit agency financing and private sector risk mitigation, including, but not limited to, the following:

• the differences and similarities between ECA financing and private sectors risk mitigation;
• each risk mitigator’s approach to underwriting, credit enhancements and security;
• different types of risk/asset classes that each risk mitigator is prepared to accept;
• private sector risk mitigation on a portfolio basis or on a transaction-by-transaction basis;
• portfolio concentration and limits on borrower, sector and country risk;
• areas where the two forms of risk mitigation overlap and where they are complementary; and
• ways in which the two forms of risk mitigation can work together.
