After a season of constant shallow water diving for lobsters and a beginning WSB season of only 15-20 foot dives (primarily because of visibility), knowing I had little chance of seeing a WSB on this dive, it was time to warm up deeper dives.

For this dive I was looking to make most dives in the 30-50ft range. For our Southern California area, 40+ is where you start seeing monster because few people even in heavily hunted areas go there.

For this video I decided to really let the just absolute beauty of the dive speak for itself until we talk cooking up the catch.

The Catch
I got a good size female sheephead and a calico bass.

The 1st cook:
Kitchen Sink Ceviche
Basically, I look d what I had available and used it to make a very tasty ceviche only 2 hours after I had shot the calico bass.

Still wondering what to make with the sheephead filets I have frozen.
