The team of Southern Range, Crime Branch successfully arrested accused persons named Badal Sahu R/o Govid Puri, Delhi, Age 19 year and Nikhil @ Vikas R/o Badarpur, Delhi, Age 20 year from the Govind Puri area of Delhi and solved a case of firing incident registered vide case FIR No. 450/24, dated 04/09/2024, under sections 125(3)/5 of the BNS & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act, P.S. Govind Puri, Delhi. Both the accused person swere wanted in the aforementioned case.
INCIDENT
On 03/09/2024, the complainant Mr. Aniket was returning home from an event. When he and his brother reached near Sardar Ka Hotel in Govind Puri, an altercation took place between them with four or five unknown individuals. Following this, the complainant returned to his house. Around midnight, approximately at 12:00 AM, 4 to 5 individuals arrived in front of complainant’s house and opened fire, intending to terrorize both the complainant and the local community. After the incident, the individuals fled away from the spot. A case was registered at P.S. Govind Puri under FIR No. 450/24, dated 04/09/2024, under sections 125(3)/5 of the BNS Act and sections 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act.
TEAM AND OPERATION
The Southern Range team was tasked to solve this case. A special team under the close supervision of Sh. Naresh Solanki, ACP/SR, consisting of HC Arvind, HC Sonveer, and ASI Vijumon, under the leadership of Inspector Vijay Pal Dahiya worked diligently on the case. HC Sonveer received a tip-off revealing that a group of five to six individuals, including Badal Sahu and Nikhil @ Vikas, were involved in the incident and were hiding in the Bhumiheen Camp area of Govind Puri, Delhi. Acting swiftly, the team conducted an operation and after relentless efforts succeeded in arresting accused persons Badal Sahu and Nikhil @ Vikas, both wanted in the above-mentioned case.
PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENT
Accused Badal Sahu has been involved in two cases as a juvenile. Accused Nikhil @ Vikas is a first-time offender.
