In the early morning the Krama Desa (married men) and all Taruna (unmarried men) kill pigs for offering and feast.
At 10 am the new members of the Daha (the girls' club) go to the temples (Pura Dalem Setra, Pura Dalem Majapahit, Pura Puseh and Pura Bale Agung) to worship.
At noon the Taruna carry flowers, food and offerings and walk to the Subak house of the girls. The 'Subak' is the man whose turn it is to mind the wealth and holy items of the village. The Subak's house is also the place where the girls assemble to make preparations for the temple festival, and where they receive gifts from the Taruna.
At about 12.30 pm the girls have a procession: walking from the Subak house to the Bale Agung temple. They carry offerings and gifts for the Taruna. This part of the ceremony is called 'mejot-mejota' or 'ngejot' (give and take). The boys and girls (Taruna and Daha) are involved in this. After the ceremony, both the boys and the girls have lunch.
At 7 pm the Taruna carry the new Daha on their shoulders (!) to the temples to pray.
At 9.30 the 'bebalang-balangan' ceremony is performed at both Bale Banjars. The boys and girls do a small dance called 'Abuang' in front of a bonfire accompanied by the music of the 'Nyongnyong' orchestra. During this dance they throw money into the 'wakul' (bamboo box). This money is a donation to the girls' club . After the ceremony is finished, the Krama Desa and Taruna have dinner.
