Inspiration to make video stemmed from the apparent undervaluation of this mushroom from the internet/mycology crowds. This is a fine edible when cooked properly.

Friend of mine (Artur) showed me how to correctly collect and cook this mushroom the way it is done in Crimea Ukraine, and happy to share this with you.

For the budding mycologist:
See if you can spot the Slimy Spike Cap (Gomphidius glutinosus) in this video. You will see it in the pan cooking in Part 2; however I did not mention it as I didn't want to overload information to those not interested. (Note black spore print, yellowing stalk).
