Creating a Triple Ombre Soap Aurora Sky

Описание к видео Creating a Triple Ombre Soap Aurora Sky

Come join me as I create a triple ombre cold process soap! In this video tutorial I make my version of the Aurora Sky soap using the triple ombre gradient technique. I used the color combo: black/magenta/purple/light pink to create the gradient colors.

Creating this ombre soap is fairly simple! You will need to use a cold process soap recipe that will stay really fluid so you have plenty of time to work with your soap. Pick a fragrance that is a slow mover (and, depending on your color choice, one that doesn't discolor). Make your soap and get it to a light trace then separate it into three equal parts. Take the first part and separate the soap into two sections--one with 30% and the other 70% of the soap.

So, for example: My batch is a 5 lb batch of soap with a slight water discount. The total batch weight is 78 oz. I split it into three equal parts of 26 oz. Then I split the first part into 8 oz (30%) and 18 oz (70%). I mixed in my color and fragrance. Then start by pouring down the side of the mold with your base color. Then add a little of the second color to the base color and pour down the side. Repeat until you've used up all the soap. Then do the same thing for the next two portions of soap!
