PG Diploma (Clinical Psychology):

Duration: 1 academic year
Credits: 60
Structure: This program is designed to provide a foundational understanding of clinical psychology within a condensed timeframe. It's a great option for those looking to gain practical skills and enter the field relatively quickly.
Eligibility: Candidates typically need a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field to enroll in this program.
Professional Responsibilities: After completing the diploma, graduates can register as "Clinical Psychologist (Associate)" under the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). They can work in various service settings as specialists, offering counseling and psychotherapy, among other services.

M.Psy (Master of Psychology) in Clinical Psychology:

Duration: 2 academic years
Credits: 120
Structure: This program offers a more comprehensive study of clinical psychology, spanning over two years. It provides extensive theoretical knowledge and clinical experience to prepare students for professional practice.
Eligibility: Candidates typically need a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field to enroll. Graduates from the PG Diploma program may also apply for entry into the second year of this program.
Professional Responsibilities: After completing the master's program, graduates can register as "Clinical Psychologists" under the RCI. They are qualified to work independently in various settings, including mental health institutes, hospitals, schools, and private practice.

Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology) in Clinical Psychology:

Duration: 4 academic years
Credits: 180
Structure: This program is the most advanced level of clinical psychology education, spanning four years. It focuses on both practical training and academic research, preparing students for leadership roles in the field.
Eligibility: Candidates typically need a master's degree in psychology or a related field to enroll. Graduates from the M.Psy program may also apply for entry into the third year of this program.
Professional Responsibilities: After completing the Psy.D. program, graduates are eligible to work as "Consultant Clinical Psychologists" and can also pursue academic and research positions. They can work in a wide range of settings, including academic institutes, hospitals, and private practice.

1. If you have a 4 years bachelors degree with honours, you can pursue PGD/MPsy/PsyD
2. If you have a 3 years bachelors in psychology/with psychology as a core subject and a 2 years masters in psychology, you can pursue PGD/MPsy/PsyD
3. If you have a 4 years bachelors degree in psychology/with psychology as a core subject without honours and a 1 year masters degree in psychology, you can pursue PGD/MPsy/PsyD
