Siva Mahimaamrutham: A Divine Series of Discourses by Brahmasri Dr. Samavedam Shanmukha Sarma at Shiva Vishnu Temple.
Shiva Vishnu Temple presents a deeply enriching spiritual discourse series, Siva Mahimaamrutham, by the revered scholar Brahmasri Dr. Samavedam Shanmukha Sarma, from Tuesday, July 22 to Saturday, July 26, 2025. The sessions will be held in Telugu from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (July 22–25) and 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 26, culminating in a grand Siva Padam classical dance ballet at 3:45 PM in the Lakireddy Auditorium.
The theme Siva Mahimaamrutham will explore the timeless essence and infinite greatness of Bhagavan Siva, the embodiment of consciousness and transformation. As the powerful force within the Trimurti, Bhagavan Siva’s role as destroyer and liberator symbolizes the removal of ignorance, ego, and illusion, paving the path toward spiritual awakening and inner wisdom. His every form and ornament holds deep philosophical meaning: the third eye representing insight, Ganga flowing from his hair symbolizing purification, vibhuti (ash) reminding the impermanence of material life, and the trident (Trishul) standing for mastery over body, mind, and soul. His presence is celebrated in countless scriptures, from the Siva Mahimna Stotram and Siva Purana to the Sri Rudram from the Vedas.
Brahmasri Dr. Samavedam Shanmukha Sarma garu, known as Samanvaya Saraswathi, is beloved for his ability to bridge ancient wisdom with modern understanding. Through his powerful oratory, he brings the subtle truths of the Vedas, Puranas, and Sastras into accessible and deeply meaningful reflections for everyday life. His mission to uphold and spread Bharateeya Sanatana Dharma has inspired countless followers across the world. As a grand finale, the Siva Padam dance ballet titled Sakthi Roopas will be presented by talented artists from various Indian classical dance forms, Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Mohiniattam, and Kathak. This visual and musical offering will portray the divine feminine manifestations (Sakthi Roopas) through expressive storytelling and sacred movements elevating the devotional experience to sublime heights. This is a rare opportunity to experience profound devotion through both Gnana (wisdom) and Nritya (dance), a confluence of scriptural depth and aesthetic beauty.
