Mainstreet Guitar Tab Bob Seger

Описание к видео Mainstreet Guitar Tab Bob Seger

This is a cover of Bob Seger's Mainstreet with Joey McNew on drums, and Abraham Myers (me) on everything else.
Joey is such a good friend, and such a fabulous drummer, that I just want to say first off a big thank you to him for working with me on this and all our other tunes. If you've not seen his page, head on over there and subscribe. You won't regret it.

As far as this song goes, I transcribed the original note for note, and replayed all the parts, except the drums of course. I filmed this process so that you could see how the song is played. There is also a scrolling tab of what I'm playing at the bottom of the screen.

A little bit about what I do.
I transcribe songs and re-create them to sound as close to the original as possible. Why? To preserve these performances. There are hardly any videos of these great artists, playing all the parts to their classic songs, because no one thought to film it. But, in the future, many will want to know how these songs were played. It is also incredibly hard to find accurate tabs. I've checked many tabs on the web and hardly any are completely accurate. So, since it's not fair to the younger players who have a harder time learning by ear, I made these tabs so they could both see and hear the part and see the tab.
Why don't I use Bob Seger's voice instead of my own?
Well, there's a couple reasons. One, is that it would be very hard to synch up the original voice with my music. I've tried it, and it never sounds right.
There are also copyright issues with using someone's voice by itself. Many bands don't like you using their tracks to create other things, and you could risk a copyright strike.
The point of all this, is that I want to be sure you know that I didn't make this video to impress you, or to show off my talents. It is a video dedicated to showing you how these sounds were created so that you can create them yourself.
I also make no money off these videos. If you watch an ad, all that money goes to Bob Seger which I have no problem with, considering it is his song. I am just grateful he allows me to record it and put it on here so that you can learn from it.
So, it's all about respect and honoring the original artist.
And, hopefully, give you an accurate transcription of a classic song.
