Grammy-nominated producer Chris Messina discusses his extensive work as Bon Iver’s producer and engineer, partnering on some of the most adventurous releases of his discography. In conversation with Josh Antonuccio, Director of Ohio University's School of Media Arts & Studies.

Chris Messina is a Grammy-nominated producer, engineer, mixer, and songwriter. He is best known for his work as Bon Iver’s producer and engineer on the albums i,i and 22, A Million. Messina has engineered and produced for a number of artists including James Blake, S. Carey, Gordi, and Bruce Hornsby. Additionally, he has extensive experience as a live music engineer, having worked with many major artists including everyone from Madonna and Lady Gaga to Eminem and Arcade Fire. He currently serves as a creative director for Bon Iver’s live show in addition to his continued work with them in the studio.
