The narration is written by the artist and spoken by Greg Williams. Artist Brenda Mauney Councill is working atop a two story scaffold and commences work on large scale wall murals that will adorn the newest facility, Campbell Cottage at the Grandfather Home and School for Children. The project is being sponsored by a donor who felt this was the perfect way to communicate an inspirational theme to the incoming residents. The murals will narrate enduring themes of Hope, Love, Healing and Redemption. The viewer will conceive a beginning and an end (Alpha /Omega) through iconographic symbolism. Transformation and the spirit of healing and forgiveness can be seen and felt. Classic icons combined with trompel'oeil ,( fool the eye) style will add a series of illusions to the paintings. The artist relates, " to reach children and young adults , I chose simple yet thought provoking symbols that gently narrate a central theme . This coupled with soothing colors and bold statements of light and shadow create a ethereal and inspirational narration".
